The Ghost in the Machine

Formative inspirations include the work of Joseph Cornell, and the 1989 Japanese film; “Tetsuo: The Ironman”.  “The palette” of this work includes photographs, 3-dimensional computer models, and elements from “Midjourney AI technology,” produced by the artist.

Religious iconography suggests a wider “spiritual frame of reference” for technology, that engages both the narcissistic relationship of human beings with their machines, and the paradox of the incomprehensible complexity of our existence.

The work is an autobiographical narrative, reflecting the quest for identity in the context of an obsession with rapidly evolving technology.
